Two youths have been arrested and two minors are being investigated in Plentzia for assaulting local police officers. The Department of Security reported that the assault took place while officers were attempting to identify the alleged perpetrator of several beach robberies.
The Biscay City Council stated in a press release that the events occurred on Sunday afternoon, when local police officers were dispatched to the beach due to ongoing robberies.
Witnesses reported that several individuals "lunged" at the officers as they tried to identify the suspect. Members of the Ertzaintza who arrived at the scene arrested two youths for assaulting the officers and are investigating two minors for their involvement in the incidents.
