Tolosa has announced its new puppet season, Titereszena 2026-2027. The program includes shows, exhibitions, a school campaign, guided tours, and workshops.
The season kicks off on October 8th with the inauguration of the exhibition “Rut Olabarri: trucada e imperfecta”. This exhibition will be on display in the temporary exhibition hall until March 7, 2027. Rut Olabarri's work intertwines textiles, memory, and fiction.
Also in October, in collaboration with the Andoain City Council, a workshop titled “Cuerdas de la memoria: educación artística feminista” (Memory Strings: Feminist Artistic Education) will be offered, extending into November.
The shows will commence on December 12th with “Ogi zati bat” by the Catalan company Les Pinyes. This will be followed by “Malaika” by La sonrisa del lagarto (Asturias) on January 16th; “Flor de greguerías” by Luna Danza Teatro (Madrid) on February 27th; “Monstruo arrosa” by Zum Zum (Catalonia) on March 13th; “Tretatxu” by Anita Maravillas (Euskal Herria) on April 24th; and “El circo de los gerundios” by Alas Circo Teatro (Andalusia) on May 15th.
Workshops will once again play a significant role, as will the school campaign, which will run from December 2026 to May 2027. This educational initiative includes puppet shows accompanied by talks with the artists, workshops adapted to each group, and museum visits.
The Titirijai festival will take place from November 21st to 29th, under the slogan “No seas autómata” (Don't be an automaton).
The museum's opening hours are: Tuesdays to Fridays, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM; Saturdays and holidays, 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM; and Sundays from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM. It will be closed on Sunday afternoons and Mondays, with some exceptions.
