The III. Targazki Photo Rally will take place next Saturday, May 16, and all participants must take their photographs in Tolosa. This event is open to all photographers, and those under 16 years old will have the opportunity to win the Youth Prize. The themes for the photographs will be announced before the rally begins.
Registration can be done on the day of the rally at the Targazki association's premises (Emeterio Arrese 2, Tolosa), from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Adults will need to pay a fee of 10 euros, while young people can participate for free. Photographs must be taken in JPG format, and each adult participant must start the rally with a pre-formatted memory card.
As the rally is part of the Herriz Herri league, the results will count towards it. Young participants can take photos with their mobile phones. Classic camera adjustments (saturation, contrast) will be accepted, provided they are made before taking the picture. Black and white photos, image editing or manipulation, and creative editing effects from cameras will not be allowed. The winners will be announced at Tolosa City Hall, at an event held on June 12 at 7:30 PM.
Additionally, the Targazki association has also organized the Tolosa Herria Photo Contest. Registration is open and will close on May 24. Both professional and amateur photographers can participate, and each author can submit a maximum of four photographs. There are two categories: a general category and one aimed at young people between 8 and 16 years old.
Photographs submitted in previous editions will not be accepted, artificial intelligence cannot be used (RAW files may be requested for verification), and photographs cannot bear any identification or watermark. Regarding the format, they must be submitted in JPG, the longest side must measure 4,000 pixels, the file must weigh a maximum of 5 megabytes, and the file name must start with the photo number followed by the title (e.g., 1_sunrise.jpg). Registration must be done on the website targazki.fotogenius.es, and the decision will be communicated on June 1. The awards ceremony will be on June 27, and the top three works will be eligible to participate in the Argizaiola Contest.
