The defeat against Reala C in the previous matchday dashed the team's hopes of winning the league. Currently, Arratia and Athletic C are four points ahead in the standings, and only the first position grants access to the promotion play-offs.
“"I have always told the players that we must have a clear objective: to fight in every match and move forward with that identity."
The coach emphasized the significant leap in quality the team has experienced since the previous year. The club made a considerable effort to bring in new players, which has positively impacted the team's performance. The goal was to stay at the top, and Tolosa CF had never competed at such a high level. The coach highlighted the players' achievement, expressing his satisfaction and pride in their work.
In recent weeks, the team has dreamed of reaching that top position. According to the coach, both the dream and the objective have been fully achieved, without forgetting that this weekend they will face Añorga in a highly contested match. Tolosa CF is currently in third place with 42 points and will finish in that position, as fourth-placed Añorga has 36 points.
The season has been “tremendous,” stated the coach, highlighting the “enormous merit” of the players. Many of them come to training directly from work or classes, which demonstrates the team's commitment. The coach added that while people may not remember which team was promoted this year, the members of Tolosa CF will recall the experiences lived when they gather in the future.
On the other hand, the coach pointed out that they have not been in their best form in the last matches due to numerous injuries, including three players with cruciate ligament injuries. After the league concludes, the Basque Cup will be played, but given the injury situation, they are unsure whether they will participate in that tournament. They will continue training, but in a more recreational manner.
