Actress Maria Cruickshank will present her monologue 'Simpol' as part of the Berrobi Cultural Festival, in a performance scheduled for Friday at Etxola.

The performer takes a new step in her artistic career with this monologue format, having made the leap late last year. After becoming a mother of three and temporarily stepping away from acting to focus on motherhood and education, she has returned, immersing herself in feminist crafts and monologues.
Cruickshank explains that she always wanted to perform monologues, and motherhood has given her the necessary courage. While she had previously created short pieces of five to ten minutes, she will now present an hour-long show, eager to discuss the place of women in society, and specifically, her own position as a woman, mother, Basque, and Black individual.
Driven by this creative urge, she aims to produce a work without filters that reflects her personal and collective experience. The performance will take place on Friday at 7:00 PM at Etxola.
