Interested individuals will have one week to submit their application, until July 14th. Registration can be completed through the Donostia Kirola website, as well as at the entity's offices or at the sports centers in Bidebieta, Bretxa, Bentaberri, Egia, Paco Yoldi, Etxadi, Altza, and Intxaurrondo.
The draw will take place on the 18th. For the academic year, running from September 21st to June 12th, a total of 22,967 spots will be offered, divided into 1,601 courses. The program includes over 73 sports modalities, with activities tailored for various ages and levels, such as swimming courses, indoor activities, racket sports, and outdoor options.
A councilor for Sport and Healthy Life highlighted that the Kirola Ekintzak program makes physical activity accessible to citizens and promotes healthy lifestyle habits throughout all life stages. This past academic year saw over 17,000 participants, a 6% increase compared to the previous year. Furthermore, 70% of those registered are women.
In addition to the regular courses, the Aukeran Kirol Ekintzak service will also be available. This flexible system allows individuals to structure their sports activities according to their preferences, choosing the activity, facility, day, and time. Last academic year, 1,100 people used this service, making approximately 17,000 reservations, a 9% increase from the previous year.
