Tolosaldea Security Forum Discusses Future Challenges

The 37th Basque Security Forum meeting was held at the Orixe Institute in Tolosa, led by Bingen Zupiria and Eider Mendoza, to reflect on the region's security and future challenges.

The 37th meeting of the Basque Security Forum was held at the Orixe Institute in Tolosa, attended by Security Councillor Bingen Zupiria and Gipuzkoa Provincial Council President Eider Mendoza. This gathering brought together social, economic, and institutional representatives from the municipalities of Abaltzisketa, Albiztur, Alegia, Altzo, Amezketa, Anoeta, Belauntza, Berastegi, Berrobi, Elduain, Gaztelu, Hernialde, Ibarra, Irura, Ikaztegieta, Leaburu-Txarama, Lizartza, Orendain, Ordizia, and Tolosa.
The forum aimed to "reflect from an integral perspective on security and future challenges in the Tolosaldea region," as stated by the Department of Security. Over 30 representatives from the Basque Government, the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council, local councils, the Ertzaintza (Basque Police), Osakidetza (Basque Health Service), and regional companies and associations were present.
During the meeting, experiences and proposals were gathered to enhance joint responses in areas such as prevention, emergency management, cybersecurity, road safety, and coexistence, seeking tools to address upcoming challenges.
