Aingeru Senperena from Goiatz will compete in the wheelchair final on Sunday, April 12, at the Beloki fronton in Zumarraga, as part of the three finals of the Gipuzkoa Adapted Basque Pelota Circuit.

The finals of the Gipuzkoa Adapted Basque Pelota Circuit will take place this Sunday, April 12, at the Beloki fronton in Zumarraga. There will be three finals in total: two in the intellectual disability category and one in the wheelchair category. Aingeru Senperena from Goiatz will compete in the latter.
The wheelchair final has a sense of rematch, as the defenders Edorta de Anta and Beñat Lizaso previously faced each other in the Bizkaia Open final held in Basauri. On that occasion, De Anta won the txapela alongside Sergio Rodríguez. In the Zumarraga final, De Anta will partner with Joseba Laso, while Beñat Lizaso will team up with Aingeru Senperena.

"Opening opportunities, providing visibility, sharing spaces has been, since their inception, the main objective of these championships, and this Gipuzkoa Open confirms that, although the road ahead is long, we are taking steps in the right direction."

Iker Amarika · Circuit Manager
According to Iker Amarika, the circuit manager, participation has been higher than ever, especially in the intellectual disability category, which has led to the establishment of two levels: initiation and advanced. In the intellectual disability initiation level, the pairs Unai Dios-Daniel Calviño and Joel Garcia-Tanya Fernandez will compete. In the advanced level, Lander Ortega-Eneko Sagarmendi and Hodei Asteasu-Xabat Askasibar will face each other. Although none of them were in the Bizkaia Open final in Basauri, Eneko Sagarmendi knows what it means to win the Gipuzkoa Open txapela and will try to repeat his success.
The Gipuzkoa Adapted Pelota finals will be broadcast live on ETB-1 and can also be followed on its digital platforms. Zumarraga will host these types of finals for the first time, and the organizers have invited the public to attend the fronton.
