The Llanada Alavesa experienced minimum temperatures close to 20 degrees on Tuesday night, as Euskalmet issued a yellow alert for high fire risk.

Álava, particularly in areas like the Llanada Alavesa, endured a warm and tropical night, with minimum temperatures hovering near 20 degrees Celsius. Egino recorded 19.9 degrees, while towns such as Alegría-Dulantzi and Ilarduia saw minimums reach 19.8 degrees.
These readings, reported by Euskalmet, are expected to persist throughout the week, prompting the activation of a yellow alert across Álava due to a high risk of forest fires, attributed to the elevated temperatures and strong southerly winds.
Forecasts indicate that the heatwave will continue in the coming days, with maximum temperatures approaching 35 degrees Celsius in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Monday, May 25th, will see high temperatures dominate, reaching up to 35 degrees in the Cantabrian region and between 30-33 degrees inland. Tuesday, May 26th, is expected to be similar, while on Wednesday, May 27th, temperatures might slightly decrease along the coast, though they will remain high inland.
