The Asparrena Council is preparing for the summer swimming season by tendering the lease and operation of the municipal swimming pool's bar-restaurant, with a base price of 1,700 euros and a four-month duration.

The Asparrena Council is preparing for the summer swimming campaign by initiating the tender process for the lease and operation of the bar-restaurant at the municipal swimming pools. The base price for the season is set at 1,700 euros, plus VAT, and the contract will run for four months, from June 1st to October 31st.
The agreement also includes the possibility of a mutual extension for an additional year. Proposals for participation in this tender can be submitted until May 22nd. The Council will consider the price, awarding the highest score to the proposal offering the largest annual fee. Additionally, the offer of set menus or combined dishes for lunch and sandwiches for lunch, snacks, and dinner will be valued.
The municipal swimming pools enhance their offering with a dedicated bar-restaurant service. This service aims to make the facilities more attractive by complementing the sports offering with leisure options, thereby providing the municipality with not only a sports venue but also a recreational space for all types of public.
The bar-restaurant service cannot be directly managed by the Council, as it lacks dedicated staff or civil servants for this purpose. Although it is a service, the operation of the bar-restaurant involves operational risk, necessitating its characterization as a public service concession contract. The Local Government Board will be responsible for awarding the contract.
