The summer pools in Agurain will open this Monday, June 1st, marking the start of the bathing season in the Llanada Alavesa region. The facilities will be available until the end of September.

Opening hours will be from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays and Sundays, they will extend from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM. Daily entry will cost 3.10 euros for those under 18 and 6.15 euros for adults. Season passes can be processed at the sports center.

The season comes with several improvements, including the replacement of benches and tables in the green area and the renovation of the bar area. The bar service will operate daily without interruption from 12:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The City Council has also planned two weekly recreational activities for children and young people.

Agurain will not be the only Alavese municipality activating its facilities; Dulantzi will open theirs on June 4th. June marks the transition from indoor sports activities to outdoor spaces, especially as temperatures begin to rise.

Municipal pools hold particular importance in towns like Agurain, serving as centers for neighborly relations, youth leisure, family activities, and often functioning as a 'summer square'.

The early weekday opening hours allow for various uses, such as swimming more peacefully or visiting before the workday. On weekends, the later closing time expands options for those wishing to spend the entire afternoon at the venue.

The improvements to benches, tables, and the bar are specifically aimed at prolonged use. On hot days, pools offer not only leisure but also thermal relief, serving as an accessible resource for families and young people without other alternatives.
