The two teams from the Lea Artibai region, Aurrera Ondarroa and Bermeo, have reached the end of the season without problems, having consolidated their positions in the Honor Division. Both are in a comfortable mid-table position; Aurrera is in sixth place, while Bermeo is two spots higher, tied on points (48) with Sodupe. The group continues to be led by Erandio, which with 67 points is practically a Third Division team.
From the Zaldupe club, the assessment could not be more positive. Their objective was to avoid the classification struggles of the previous season and to consolidate their position in the category, which they have achieved with flying colors. Proof of this is that the entity presided over by Mikel Santiso has decided to renew its confidence in the current coach, Josué Atela, for the upcoming campaign.
“"A generational handover has also been consolidated with a team that has combined youth with veteran experience, in which the coach has played a significant role."
Santiso added that there are five matchdays left and their goal will be to finish as high as possible. Furthermore, the president of the Lea Artibai club has also announced the creation of a reserve team, which will play as Aurrera B next season and will start in the Third Regional division.
Meanwhile, in Bermeo, among the recent developments, the incorporation of a new player, Iker Ugartemendia, stands out. He will join the 'txo' squad with the aim of strengthening the defensive line. The Itxas Gane team will host Iturrigorri on Saturday at five in the afternoon, hoping to continue adding points, while Aurrera Ondarroa will travel to Sodupe, where they will play from six in the evening.
