The 'Okela eguna' (Meat Day) in Markina will open the summer fair and market season in Lea Artibai next Saturday, May 9, with the dual aim of promoting local produce and supporting the region's primary sector.

This event, organized by the Rural Development association in conjunction with the City Council, will feature fourteen producers. They will offer horticultural products, bread, honey, cheese, as well as dairy products, preserves, cider, and txakoli, among others.
One of the main highlights will be the tasting of pintxos, priced at 2.5 euros each. These will be prepared from lambs roasted directly at the market, with the intention of promoting meat from local livestock farmers.
The stalls will be open from ten in the morning until two in the afternoon, providing visitors with the opportunity to enjoy the region's gastronomy and products.
