The Errenteria-based boat displayed a high level of rowing despite very adverse conditions. Although Orio, the winner, clocked 11:58, Hibaika finished just 14 seconds behind. They established a six-second lead over third-placed Zumaia, underscoring the Errenteria team's strength. Even strong contenders like Tolosaldea finished eight seconds after Hibaika.
Club representatives stated that these preliminary races "are used to assess the level of the rowers and rivals." They expressed "great satisfaction" with the outcome, emphasizing that "the girls put on an impressive race in seas where it was not easy to perform well."

The men's team also showed positive signs. In the challenging waters of Lekeitio, they recorded a time of 23:32, despite unfavorable sea conditions. Although they finished twelfth, the encouraging news was that Arkote, a direct rival in the ARC-1 league, crossed the finish line two seconds later.
“"The boys had another very good race in quite bad conditions. Furthermore, finishing ahead of a rival like Arkote is always a plus."
Orio dominated the regatta from start to finish, with a time of 21:45, reinforcing their status as the top contender to retain their league title.
Additionally, the club has organized the presentation of its senior rowing teams for next Thursday, June 18, at 7:00 PM in the Plaza de la Diputación in Errenteria. The event will feature the Errenteria Music Band and will include refreshments.
