The Santurtzi City Council has launched a new program of courses and workshops aimed at young people aged 18 to 30, with the goal of promoting their emancipation and social participation.

Santurtzi has expanded its training offer for young people aged between 18 and 30 who are registered residents. This initiative, developed in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, primarily aims to promote youth emancipation and social construction.
The program combines training to improve opportunities for labor and digital emancipation with proposals on emotional well-being, creativity, self-employment, and community participation. The Begirale course stands out, offered in Basque from November to May, with theoretical sessions at Casa Torre and practical activities at the La Arboleda hostel.
Artificial intelligence will also play a significant role with two courses from the company Creamosia, focusing on its practical daily use and applications for job placement, such as resume building and interview preparation.
As a novelty, training in 3D printing will be offered through five independent courses, adapted to different experience levels. Participants will learn 3D design and printing with 3dLAB, and will take home their own creations.
Creativity and self-employment will be addressed through two tufting courses, a technique for creating rugs and tapestries. Two groups of seven places each will be available, in morning and afternoon sessions.
The program also includes cultural and community-building proposals, such as the Muble theater workshop, in collaboration with Saregabe, and the youth Cineclub. The latter aims to foster reflection and dialogue through the preparation of discussions.
The Councilor for Culture, Edorta Rodrigo, highlighted that "culture is also a tool for generating community and offering young people spaces in which to express themselves, create, and participate." He added that "with proposals like theater or the cineclub, we want young people not only to be spectators but to have an active role".
Rodrigo also valued the diversity of the offer: "We wanted to present a broad offer that caters to different interests and combines training, new technologies, creativity, and culture. These are proposals that can provide useful tools for the present and, at the same time, help our young people develop their own projects and aspirations".
From the Youth Department, they emphasize that the program aims to provide young people with practical tools and meeting spaces that can contribute to their personal and professional development, as well as their active participation in society.
Registration will be open until October 12, with limited places. Interested individuals can register by scanning the QR code on the poster or by completing the form. A waiting list will be established to fill any vacancies due to cancellations.
