The Water Consortium will commence works on April 13 to replace 285 meters of buried pipeline in Galdakao's Jugo neighborhood. Although these efforts are aimed at improving an area outside Etxebarri, the City Council has stated that "the network supplying that location passes through our municipality." Consequently, for the estimated 12 weeks of the project, the children's park, road area, and parking facilities on Ganguren Mendi street will be impacted.
The purpose of this intervention is to renew the polyethylene potable water supply network in this locality, which "shows considerable age and signs of accumulated deterioration that must be resolved," as clarified by the Bilbao Water Consortium. This wear and tear has caused numerous inconveniences in the water supply for residents of this Galdakao neighborhood, affecting the quality and consistency of the service, as well as the quality of life for the inhabitants.
With intermunicipal cooperation, we reaffirm our commitment to improving essential infrastructures that guarantee a safe and efficient supply of potable water.
The Consistory, for its part, has expressed that "with intermunicipal cooperation, we reaffirm our commitment to improving essential infrastructures that guarantee a safe and efficient supply of potable water".
