According to the Security Department of the Basque Government, the incident occurred around 12:00 PM on Thursday. Upon receiving the alert, Bizkaia firefighters promptly arrived at the scene to manage the situation.

By the time emergency services arrived, the truck was already engulfed in flames, necessitating rapid action to prevent the fire from spreading or causing further damage to the road or nearby vehicles.

Emergency personnel successfully extinguished the fire in approximately half an hour, with the flames declared out by around 12:30 PM. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, as confirmed by sources from the Security Department of the Basque Government. After the fire was put out and operations concluded, the affected vehicle was removed from the scene.
