The first arrest occurred on Sunday, around 1:00 PM, after the Local Police received a report of an assault on a customer in a commercial establishment on Avenida de la Libertad. According to the Councillor for Citizen Security, Ángel Madrazo, two males entered the premises with the intention of stealing items from the storage area, but upon being discovered by a customer, they both violently attacked him.
One of the assailants struck the customer on the head with a hammer, and the other shot him multiple times with an air pistol. After the assault, one of the perpetrators fled but was intercepted by the Police while attempting to enter the metro, thanks to citizen cooperation. At the time of his arrest, an air pistol, allegedly used in the attack, was confiscated. Furthermore, the man will be investigated for his «alleged involvement» in robberies that occurred in several shops in Cruces a few weeks ago.
The second individual involved was located this Tuesday and has been taken to police facilities for his indictment in the events. As a result of the assault, the victim was transferred to Cruces hospital with an «incised-contused wound to the head, for which he remained under observation for several hours,» added the councillor.

Separately, during the night from Monday to Tuesday, around 00:15 AM, another arrest took place on Juntas Generales street. Several residents alerted the Local Police that two individuals were assaulting a third person. Upon arriving at the scene, officers subdued the aggressors, who «offered strong resistance.» The victim stated that he had caught both attempting to steal from his van and that, upon reprimanding their behavior, they began to beat him. After being brought before the judicial authorities, the arrested individuals have been released.
