Scottish actress Tilda Swinton visited the well-known bar Txintxirri in Bilbao's Ensanche district after her recent performance at the Guggenheim Museum.

Scottish actress Tilda Swinton has taken advantage of her visit to Bilbao to enjoy a local experience outside the Guggenheim Museum. After starring in the performance 'House of Gestures' alongside fashion historian Olivier Saillard, the interpreter also visited one of the most well-known establishments in Bilbao's Ensanche: the Txintxirri bar.
The establishment's management shared their satisfaction at hosting an international figure of the artist's caliber. "We had the luck and pleasure of hosting her at our venue," they posted on their social media along with a photograph, describing the evening as "very special." The team also expressed their gratitude to Miren Arzalluz, the Guggenheim's Director General, for thinking of them for such a significant occasion.
The Oscar winner developed one of the season's most talked-about performances at the museum on Friday and Saturday. For forty minutes, the artist displayed a succession of meaningful movements, poses, and silences in the atrium, in a staging conceived with Saillard, captivating the Bilbao audience with her characteristic ethereal image and restrained expressiveness.
Following the success of her appearance at the Guggenheim, where tickets were sold out, Swinton was seen at Txintxirri. The establishment has become a point of interest for its culinary preparations; last year, it achieved second place in the National Potato Omelette Championship. On their Instagram account, they acknowledged the excitement they felt during the visit and emphasized that encounters like this reinforce their daily commitment.
"Moments like this bring us special joy and encourage us to continue working with the same passion as always," they stated. Furthermore, they expressed their desire to welcome back both the interpreter and those who made the visit possible: "This is your home," they concluded.
