A fire in a communal garage in Muskiz on Thursday evening destroyed three cars and a motorcycle, creating dense smoke and leading to three people requiring medical attention.

The incident occurred on Artekale street at 8:15 PM on Thursday, with the causes still unknown. According to the Department of Security, Emergency Services had to rescue three residents affected by smoke inhalation. Firefighters assisted them in evacuating their homes.
Initially, no evacuations were necessary, but some residents chose to self-confine in their homes. Authorities urged «caution» to those in the area. The local mayor visited the scene to monitor the extinguishing efforts.

The fire originated on the -1 floor of a communal garage, affecting several building entrances. Seven fire brigades from two stations were dispatched to the scene, inspecting storage rooms and the parking area for potential victims. Several ambulances were on standby, awaiting information on whether transfers were needed, and Ertzaintza vehicles also attended.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze two hours later, following moments of tension. The Ertzaintza is investigating the cause of the fire to determine if it was intentional or resulted from a technical anomaly.
