The LAB union has reported an attack on an E05 line bus driver in Errenteria-Orereta and is demanding specific security measures.

The LAB union has strongly condemned the attack on an E05 line bus driver that occurred this morning in Errenteria-Orereta, specifically near the Beraun health center. The union stated that this is not the first incident of its kind on Ekialdebus, emphasizing that the situation is a "security problem" rather than merely a "patience issue".
The aggression stemmed from a payment issue. A passenger attempted to pay with a Visa card, and when the driver explained it was not possible, the passenger attacked the driver before fleeing. The union expressed concern and anger, sending a clear message: they will not tolerate further attacks, as workers want to "work with safety and dignity".
In response, LAB of Ekialdebus has made several specific demands: the immediate implementation of the Visa card payment system, the adoption of concrete measures to prevent such situations from recurring, providing support and assistance to the affected employees, and issuing a clear response regarding the incident.
