The Bilbao City Council, following the success of the previous edition, will organize the second edition of the 3x3 Bilbao Jokoan basketball tournament, which will move to Etxebarria Park and achieve FIBA QUEST category.

The Bilbao City Council, taking into account the excellent reception of previous editions, will once again launch the 3x3 Bilbao Jokoan basketball championship. The presentation took place on the morning of Tuesday, April 14, with the participation of Itxaso Erroteta, Councilor for Youth and Sports.
The event is organized by Bilbao Basket, with the support of the Bilbao City Council, the Bizkaia Provincial Council, and the BBK Foundation. Also present at the presentation were Isabel Iturbe, president of Bilbao Basket; Leixuri Arrizabalaga, Provincial Deputy for Basque Language, Culture, and Sports; and Koldo Bilbao, Culture Coordinator of the BBK Foundation.
One of the main novelties of this year's edition is the relocation of the tournament from Areatza to Etxebarria Park, taking place between June 12 and 15. This change is a result of the success of the first edition, which saw 800 athletes participate across 180 teams, and reflects the need for the tournament to grow, increasing both the number of participants and the competitive level. In this regard, the tournament will achieve FIBA's QUEST category in this edition, becoming one of only two such championships held in Spain. This will attract some of the best 3x3 basketball teams, thereby enhancing the sporting and social impact of the event in the city.
Furthermore, the tournament will strengthen its commitment to inclusive sports and equal opportunities. To this end, women's tournaments, recognized by FIBA as official championships, will be programmed, as well as wheelchair basketball tournaments (GAS).
