With the Carmen festivities in Santurtzi approaching, the official poster has been unveiled. The artwork, by Eunate Anguiano, is entirely handmade with brushes, directly reflecting the annual celebrations. This piece garnered the highest number of votes from the public, aligning with the jury's decision from the 26 submissions received.
The poster prominently features a basket brimming with sardines, with a sardine seller as the central figure, embodying key elements of this fishing town. The slogan 'Santurtzi Jaietan, July 10-19' is displayed in white lettering. At the top, festive banners are visible, and Mentxu, the iconic figure of the Carmen festivities, is depicted in mid-flight, festive scarf tied around her neck.
Eunate Anguiano receives a prize of one thousand euros for her winning design, along with the honor of her work representing one of Bizkaia's most significant celebrations.
Additionally, two honorable mentions, each with a 200 euro prize, were awarded to the second and third place posters submitted by Izaro Gondra and Noemí García.
