The Guardia Civil has found a prohibited weapon and hashish in the cabin of a truck at the Port of Bilbao during fiscal inspections conducted by Customs.

The Fiscal and Border Unit of the Guardia Civil, under the functional dependency of Customs, has located a prohibited weapon and hashish in the cabin of a truck at the Port of Bilbao, following fiscal inspections at the port facilities.
According to police sources, it was a butterfly-type knife found inside a backpack, along with the discovered drugs. The driver was reported for possessing prohibited weapons and drugs.

Just over a month ago, the same unit seized over 260 kilograms of animal-based fishing bait being carried by a passenger who arrived at the Port of Bilbao on a ferry.
The 266.8 kilograms were seized, under the functional dependency of Customs, during the disembarkation of a ferry from the United Kingdom.
The operation, carried out at the port facilities, led to the interception of this product of animal origin transported by a passenger without the corresponding health control.
