The Portugalete City Council has initiated a Public Employment Offer (OPE) with a total of 61 open positions, aiming to strengthen municipal services and improve citizen attention.

The initial phase of this process has just begun, offering 22 positions. These include nine administrative roles (one reserved for people with disabilities), two drivers, seven musicians for the municipal band across various specialties, one dumper driver, one projects and services technician, and two orderlies.
Those interested in participating can apply through the municipal website. It has been emphasized that this OPE will not only address structural needs of the City Council but also create new employment opportunities.

"We are facilitating access to public employment, especially for young people who wish to develop their professional careers in their own municipality, while also contributing to the generational replacement of the workforce."
