The Arrigorriaga City Council and Adecua have launched the 'Berriz Enpresa' program to foster the local economy and ensure the continuity of businesses.

The Arrigorriaga City Council and Adecua have joined forces for the ‘Berriz Enpresa’ program, aiming to boost the local economy and guarantee the viability of businesses within the municipality. This initiative seeks to facilitate the continuity of companies in the commerce, hospitality, and accommodation sectors, preventing closures and promoting intergenerational succession.
The program offers a catalog of free services targeting two main profiles: firstly, merchants looking to sell an established business, with active searches for potential buyers, protection of promotion and economic valuation, and assistance throughout the sales process. Secondly, it is aimed at entrepreneurs wishing to acquire a business, helping them find suitable opportunities, conducting feasibility studies and business plans, and providing legal advice and startup support.
As transition and handover processes require time, Adecua emphasizes that “it is highly beneficial to start seeking information even if retirement or handover is not immediate.” For more information or to clarify doubts, the phone number 688 676 366 is available.

Among other news, Arrigorriaga ranks as the third municipality in Bizkaia for the number of bad odor complaints, following Bilbao and Muskiz, with 16 registrations this year according to data from the Deputy Ministry of Environment. In response to citizen complaints, the Basque Government has conducted an air quality study, with initial results indicating no health risks, although industrial activity in the vicinity is suggested as a potential source.
Furthermore, the exhibition ‘Sexismoa Publizitatean 25 urtez’ (Sexism in Advertising for 25 Years) will arrive in Arrigorriaga from November 24 to December 6, examining the role of advertising in shaping gender models. Additionally, the association Malmasingo Lagunak has organized events in October focusing on women's influence and feminine architecture, and registration is open for the ‘Musika Familiarekin’ and ‘Musika Familiartean’ activities for children.
