Metro Bilbao Delays Due to Technical Issue and Passenger Illness

Monday morning saw disruptions on Metro Bilbao's Line 1, affecting services between Erandio and Astrabudua, heading towards Etxebarri.

Metro Bilbao faced significant delays this Monday, April 13, starting shortly after 8:00 AM, initially due to a technical problem and subsequently because of a passenger's indisposition.

The initial incident occurred on Line 1, specifically between the Astrabudua and Erandio stations, in the direction of Etxebarri. According to Metro Bilbao sources, the technical fault was resolved by 10:30 AM.

Due to technical reasons, delays on Line 1 towards Etxebarri/Basauri. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Later, after 10:00 AM, a passenger's illness necessitated stopping a train at Erandio station. Although the affected individual was evacuated, the delays impacted the entire line.
