Officers from the Ertzaintza arrested a man last Wednesday in Bilbao for assaulting another individual and causing the loss of several teeth with pruning shears. The incident took place at three in the morning in the Irala neighborhood, following a call reporting a fight involving several people.

A patrol arrived at the scene and found a 36-year-old man bleeding from the mouth and missing several teeth. The victim stated that an unknown individual had struck him with a metallic object. Officers located the suspect, who had a police record, near the scene of the incident.

During a search, pruning shears were found hidden in his waistband, the tool allegedly used to assault the victim. Consequently, the Ertzaintza proceeded to arrest the 42-year-old man on charges of assault. The detainee was taken to police headquarters for processing and subsequently placed at the disposal of judicial authorities.
