Bilbao's Azkena venue will host the 'Fiesta Pirata' this Saturday, April 25, an event blending humor, rock classics, and a supergroup of Spanish rock legends, with tickets nearly sold out.

Bilbao is gearing up for a big rock night this Saturday, April 25. The Azkena venue will host the first 'Fiesta Pirata', an event led by the unmistakable voice of Rock FM. Anticipation is high, with only about forty tickets remaining to fill the capacity.
The evening has been designed as a complete festive experience, starting with a comedian tasked with “getting the first laughs”. Following the opening, the radio host will take over to offer a DJ set featuring great rock classics that, according to him, “get rock fans hyped up”. The climax of the party will be the performance by Rock con Ñ, a supergroup made up of musicians from legendary bands of the golden age of Spanish rock such as Burning, Cráneo, and Sangre Azul.
This band will pay tribute to the anthems that have marked several generations, performing live songs that many have grown up with and lived through. Leading the initiative, the host combines his radio work, where he has over a million listeners, with these live shows. Regarding his workload, he jokes that he is more in demand “than the plumber on the Titanic”. For him, the responsibility is the same in the studio as on stage: addressing an audience looking to have a good time.
The beloved host attributes rock's enduring appeal to its “authenticity” and its ability to “survive with glory and power”. He explains that rock is “vitalist music, full of energy”, which allows it to connect with people of all ages, from those who experienced its initial explosion to young people discovering it now.

"There are several generations united by the same vibe."

This intergenerational phenomenon is something the host constantly observes both in his DJ sets across the country and on his morning radio show on Rock FM. He is confident that the Bilbao event will be another demonstration of this. This 'Fiesta Pirata' at the Azkena venue is not an isolated event; it is a tour bringing this format to other cities.
