A strike by Lufthansa cabin crew has resulted in the cancellation of twelve flights at Bilbao Airport, affecting connections between Germany and Loiu.

The industrial action, scheduled for this Friday, has led to the annulment of six inbound flights from Munich and Frankfurt, along with their corresponding return journeys. Arrivals from Munich were expected at 11:10, 17:55, and 23:25, while those from Frankfurt were scheduled for 13:15, 17:00, and 23:10.
This strike, called by the UFO union, occurs amidst stalled negotiations over a new collective bargaining agreement, which have been ongoing for three months. Globally, the disruption has forced the cancellation of over 500 flights, affecting approximately 90,000 passengers.
Beyond the main Lufthansa airline, the stoppage has also impacted Lufthansa CityLine, stemming from a dispute concerning a staff plan that addresses compensation and protections. The airline anticipates resuming its regular flight schedule starting this Saturday.
