The new summer season will bring several novelties to the Torresolu swimming pools in Leioa, aiming to facilitate user access and streamline services. One of the most notable innovations will be the option to pay via Bizum, through the Leioa Kirolak application. According to the council, this measure will allow for quicker ticket purchases and reduced waiting times.
The Torresolu pools are an important summer meeting point for many residents. The facilities feature three pools adapted for different age groups, as well as a spacious lounging area and a multi-purpose court for basketball and indoor football.
For this year's season, the Council has invested 46,545 euros to renovate the children's pool floor in the area known as "Pirate Ship". Furthermore, it has announced that procedures are underway to completely renew the waterproof lining of the pools next year.
The maximum capacity of the facility will be 1,200 people. However, to prevent overcrowding, daily ticket sales will be suspended when 700 people are inside; from that point on, only season ticket holders will be able to enter.
Access to the outdoor pools is included in the annual Leioa Kirolak season ticket. Additionally, a special summer pass will also be available for unlimited access throughout the season.
Tariffs will remain unchanged: the summer pass will cost 23 euros for those under 26, 45 euros for those over 26, and 80 euros for a family pass. Daily tickets will be priced at 4.50 euros for those under 26 and 6.50 euros for those over 26. Children under four years old will enter for free.
The Council has reminded users that responsible use of the facilities is essential. Among other rules, smoking in sports facilities, eating in the solarium, changing clothes outside the changing rooms, and bringing animals (except guide dogs) will be prohibited. Minors under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
