The Leioa City Council will implement a new schedule for the regulated parking service (OTA) in the Pinueta, Lamiako, and Ibaiondo neighborhoods starting September 1st.

The Leioa City Council will implement a new schedule for the regulated parking service (OTA) in the Pinueta, Lamiako, and Ibaiondo neighborhoods starting September 1st, following unanimous approval by the municipal plenary. From that date, OTA operating hours on weekdays will be extended, finishing at 00:00 instead of 21:00.
This decision addresses requests from residents who have highlighted difficulties in finding parking, particularly during the late afternoon and evening. The issue is exacerbated as non-resident vehicles often occupy spaces near the end of the regulated hours, complicating daily life for those living in these areas.
By extending the hours, the council aims to prioritize residents' access to regulated parking spaces, making it easier for them to find parking near their homes even during the later hours of the day.
Starting September 1st, OTA will operate from Monday to Friday between 9:30 and 13:30, and from 16:00 to 00:00. On Saturdays, the hours will remain from 9:00 to 13:30.
This schedule change will not result in any additional costs for OTA cardholders, who will maintain their current conditions.
This initiative is part of the municipality's commitment to continuously improve mobility in Leioa and provide concrete solutions to the needs expressed by citizens, thereby enhancing the quality of life in the neighborhoods.
