The Leioa Town Hall will open the registration period for the Errekalde Municipal Play Center for the new academic year on September 1st.

Interested families can register between September 1st and 12th, via the municipal electronic headquarters or the Citizen Attention Service (SAC). The service will start on September 21st, with the first term running until February 14th, 2027. A new registration period will open later for the second term. In total, 480 places are available annually, 240 per term.
The play center is for children aged 4 to 11 and aims to provide an educational leisure space focused on play, creativity, and coexistence. Activities are organized by age groups and take place in the afternoons.
For children aged 4 to 7, there will be groups from Monday to Thursday and a mixed group on Fridays. Timetables are from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Fridays. For children aged 8 to 11, the distribution will be similar, also with mixed groups on Fridays.
Each group will have a maximum of 10 children. The Errekalde Municipal Play Center, which opened in December 2025, spans 225 square meters and includes age-differentiated play areas, workshop spaces, reception, a meeting room, storage, and adapted restrooms.
The free service combines leisure and learning activities to promote the personal and social development of minors, as well as family conciliation. It complements the Town Hall's existing educational leisure offerings, including the Pinueta play center and the Gaztegune youth center.
