The solidarity sewing workshop in Getxo has organized a new exhibition and sale of children's and baby clothes at the Urgull Zentroa, open until Friday. This activity is part of the +60 Animation Program.
The exhibition features items such as little jackets, trousers, dresses, hats, and scarves, all handmade by the women participating in the workshop. Carmen Díaz, the Councilor for Social Cohesion, highlighted that their work, done "with care and dedication," is an "expression of solidarity and commitment to other families." She also noted that the space "promotes the development of their generativity, the building of community ties, and the prevention of unwanted loneliness."
Interested individuals can visit the exhibition from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. All proceeds from the sales will be donated to Aspanovas, the association of parents of children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer in Bizkaia, with whom the workshop regularly collaborates.
