Fundación Euskadi, a benchmark in Basque cycling, has launched a new adapted cycling structure aimed at promoting inclusion and solidarity.

Fundación Euskadi, a cornerstone of Basque cycling for three decades, reaffirms its social commitment with the launch of a new adapted cycling structure. This initiative seeks to break down barriers and highlight sporting excellence without limits, preserving the spirit of solidarity and unity characteristic of the sport.
The project welcomes internationally renowned specialists: Imanol Arriortua (1998, Derio), who lives with a visual impairment and will compete with his pilot Mikel Aristi; David Mouriz (1982, Bilbao), an Olympic medalist in wheelchair basketball and now a highly successful cyclist; and Tania Castillo (2005, Bilbao), an athlete with cerebral palsy transitioning from athletics to cycling.

The future will be inclusive or it will not be.

The main objectives for Arriortua, Aristi, and Mouriz this season include the European Championships in Maniago, Italy (June 12-14), the Spanish Road Championships in Melilla (July 3-5), and the Road World Championships in Alabama, USA (September 4-7). Their medium-term goal is to qualify for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Through this endeavor, Fundación Euskadi strengthens its social fabric, solidifying its position as a key agent for the country's development and a benchmark in Euskadi.
