The unions of Tubos Reunidos and the company's management will hold their first meeting today with the insolvency administrator. Worker representatives expect to learn details about the progress of the insolvency proceedings and the status of the employment regulation file (ERE), which is currently suspended.
The day will include two meetings: one in the morning at the Trapagaran plant, which employs 300 workers, and another in the afternoon at the Amurrio factory, where approximately 900 people work. This marks the first contact between the insolvency administrator and the unions since the process began.
Although union representatives state they have not received prior information about the meetings' content, they are hopeful for explanations regarding the proceedings' development and potential alternatives to ensure the continuity of industrial activity.
The meeting occurs amidst labor uncertainty. Two weeks ago, unions decided to suspend an indefinite strike after the ERE, which planned for the dismissal of 240 workers, was halted. However, last week, they called for further stoppages to protest the lack of progress in negotiations.
