The atmosphere has been excellent at the Galdakao festivals recently. The community meal brought together many people, and various events and competitions have also been held. The 'cuadrillas' (groups of friends) have had a special prominence during the festivals, participating in several challenges.
There have also been 'Aura lehia' (challenge) competitions, where cuadrillas have challenged each other. Additionally, the cuadrillas' mascots were introduced and their wishes were requested before being burned on the last day of the festival. Moai, DBKTU, Trabukiak, and Xermandorlak were among the mascots presented.
The underwear and briefs race also took place during the festival, enlivened by images sent by friends from Zizpa. In the Kutxa Dorrea competition of Santakurtz, cuadrillas are increasingly well-prepared, improving in attire and technique, as indicated by the organizers.
The Antzeko cuadrilla emerged victorious in the Playback competition, as they did the previous year. As their members stated, they did not expect to win, but they achieved it, even though the dance was rehearsed at the last minute on the day itself.
