The Las Camporras area, located on the border between Sestao and Portugalete, will host the En Tol Sarmiento (ETS) concert tonight, marking the grand finale of the San Pedro festivities. This event is the highlight of the celebrations and also the first large-format performance to take place in this zone shared by both municipalities. The Sestao City Council has meticulously prepared for the band's performance, which will last approximately an hour and a half.
Carlos García de Andoin, the Culture Councillor for the Sestao City Council, stated, "Organizing this concert in Las Camporras has been a significant challenge, and we have been working on it since we decided to move the performance to this location for safety reasons." The concert, which has generated considerable anticipation, is scheduled to begin at 11:00 PM.
The venue is equipped with portable restrooms, the sound system's power has been doubled for optimal acoustics, and a dedicated area for individuals with reduced mobility has been designated on one of the hillside slopes. The capacity of the site is between 20,000 and 25,000 people, necessitating a special security arrangement.
The stage truck for ETS is expected to arrive early in the day and will be oriented towards the hills of Barakaldo. To ensure comprehensive safety, two ambulances will be on standby, and a joint security operation involving the Local Police of Sestao, the Local Police of Portugalete, and the Ertzaintza will be in place. Approximately twenty officers will be present to ensure everything runs smoothly and that the primary focus remains on this concert, which marks Las Camporras' debut as a venue for major events.
