The CAR of Zalla hosted the Cuidando Enkarterri workshop during September, an initiative to provide tools for those caring for dependent individuals.

The workshop emphasizes the importance of caring for the caregiver, considering the physical and emotional toll this role can entail. Across four sessions, held on September 11, 18, 25, and 29, various aspects were addressed to ease the daily lives of caregivers and contribute to their well-being.
The training was delivered by a multidisciplinary team comprising professionals from Nursing in Zalla, Social Work from Osakidetza, and Psychology from the Fundación Etxetic, allowing for a multifaceted approach to care.
Sixteen participants from the Enkarterri area took part in this edition. They particularly valued the clarity of explanations, the resolution of doubts, the professionals' approachability, and the content related to cognitive decline, as well as contributions from Psychology and Social Work. Among the feedback received, participants also expressed interest in longer-duration training programs.
Through initiatives like Cuidando Enkarterri, Osakidetza aims to provide resources and support to those performing essential daily care for individuals with dependency.
