The BEC tower in Barakaldo, the tallest structure in the Ezkerraldea region and visible in parts of Gran Bilbao, has been adorned since midday with a giant jersey of the local football team. This display celebrates a new agreement with the Danish brand Hummel, which will supply the club's kits from the upcoming season, ending their previous contract with New Balance.
The banner measures an impressive 27 meters in height and 23 meters in width, presenting installation challenges and sparking significant curiosity among hundreds of residents in the town, the second most populous in Bizkaia. This marks the first time such a large banner has been hung on the BEC tower. Previously, similar displays occurred only three times: twice featuring the Athletic Club jersey (once for the 2012 Europa League final and again for a Copa del Rey victory in 2012) and one occasion for an event sponsored by Iberdrola.
