Tens of thousands of people gathered in Bilbao to commemorate Iberdrola's 125th anniversary during an event held on Friday night. The highlight was a spectacular show featuring 1,500 drones that painted luminous 2D and 3D figures across the city's sky, choreographed to music and visual effects.
Prior to the aerial display, attendees enjoyed a music festival at Doña Casilda park, with performances by Juanes, Antonio Orozco, Rigoberta Bandini, and Süne. The drone show, lasting approximately 20 minutes, was visible from various points in the Biscay capital, including Artxanda mountain, the Avenida de las Universidades, the area around the Euskalduna bridge, Euskadi square, and Txema Aguirre square.
The drone light choreographies depicted significant milestones in Iberdrola's history, emphasizing its expansion from its Bilbao origins to a global presence. The event provided thousands of attendees with an opportunity to capture photographs and reflect on the company's journey.
Throughout the day, food and drink areas, restrooms, healthcare assistance, accessible zones for individuals with reduced mobility, a children's attention area, and a Punto Violeta were available, ensuring the comfort and safety of all participants.
