The Basque Government, in collaboration with the Bilbao City Council and Ecovidrio, are once again partnering with Disneyland Paris for the sixth edition of the “Reciclar Vidrio es una Gran Aventura” campaign. This initiative decorates glass containers with characters from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel, aiming to create a special connection with families and make recycling more appealing.
This year, the iconic themed recycling bins will be located in Bilbao's Plazuela de San Nicolás from September 29th to October 5th. Families can deposit their glass waste while enjoying characters like Frozen, Woody, Jessie, Iron Man, and Black Panther, turning recycling into a fun, family habit.
An information point will also be set up, where environmental monitors will inform citizens about the initiative and distribute reusable bags for recycling glass containers. The event was attended by Nicolás García-Borreguero, Director of Environmental Administration of the Basque Government; José Luis Azpiazu, Director of Services for the Bilbao City Council; Carmen Román, Sustainability Manager of Grupo Vidrala; and Oscar Acedo, Ecovidrio Manager in Euskadi.
Participants have the chance to win a trip to Disneyland Paris by scanning a QR code on the bins or through Ecovidrio's social media channels by completing a short questionnaire. Additionally, 200 themed mini-bins will be raffled to continue the recycling adventure at home.
