The Bilbao City Council will deploy a special traffic device due to the concerts offered by the musical group Zetak this Friday and Saturday, June 19th and 20th, at the San Mamés stadium. The operation includes traffic closures and parking restrictions on several streets around the venue to ensure safety and facilitate access for the expected 80,000 attendees.
As reported by the Municipal Police, disruptions will begin early on both days with the occupation of parking spaces in the affected areas. Starting from 6:00 PM, planned traffic closures will be implemented at the stadium's entrances.
Traffic restrictions will affect Felipe Serrate street, in the section between Sabino Arana avenue and Ventosa road; Luis Briñas street, between Felipe Serrate and Juan Antonio Zunzunegui avenue; Alameda Urquijo, between Sabino Arana and Luis Briñas; and Ventosa road, between the Olabeaga slope and Felipe Serrate.
The device will remain active until spectators have entered the stadium. Once the concerts conclude, the City Council plans to implement new, punctual traffic closures depending on the flow of people leaving the venue.
These restrictions are part of the usual operation activated during major events at San Mamés and will be maintained for approximately 45 minutes after each performance ends.
Given these disruptions, the City Council recommends that citizens plan their journeys in advance and opt for public transport whenever possible.
