The municipality of Arrigorriaga will host a variety of cultural and informative events in the coming months. Among them, the exhibition ‘Sexism in Advertising for 25 Years’ organized by the Provincial Council stands out, which will arrive at the Euskaldun Berria exhibition hall of the Arrigorriaga Town Hall from November 24th to December 6th. The exhibition analyzes the role of advertising in constructing models of men and women in today's society and is part of the institutional awareness-raising strategy for Women.
Furthermore, the Malmasingo Lagunak association has organized two activities in October to examine the impact of women and the status of feminine architecture. On October 8th, feminist architect Verónica Benedet will give a talk titled ‘Feminine Architecture in Danger: Revive to Resist’ at the Lamiaena Women's House in Arrigorriaga. On October 10th, member Asier Ibarretxe will lead a guided tour called ‘Re-living Arrigorriaga's Women's Heritage’ in the square in front of the town hall, aiming to rediscover the silenced history of the town's women.
In the music sector, the Altzoan Care Network has opened registration for the ‘Music with Family’ and ‘Music Together’ activities. The former will offer sessions for children aged 0 to 5 every Wednesday, and the latter, for children aged 0 to 6, every Sunday, with the goal of developing musical intelligence and communication tools.
In the technological field, the Arrigorriaga City Council has announced that interference caused by 4G and 5G networks in DTT reception will be resolved free of charge for citizens through the ‘Llega 700’ service. Citizens should call the toll-free number 900 833 999 to report problems.
Additionally, the Gure Magalean Parents' Association has opened registration for extracurricular activities until September 15th. English, ballet, modern dance, taekwondo, cooperative games, painting, climbing, batucada, chess, sewing, Basque pelota, and multi-sport activities will be offered for children aged four to six.
Finally, representatives from the Basque Government's Departments of Environment and Health have officially stated that the bad odors detected in Arrigorriaga in recent months do not pose a health risk to citizens, although their origin is likely linked to nearby industrial activity. An olfactometric study is underway to confirm this hypothesis.
