The Bilbao City Council and the Peace and Coexistence Forum will present the play "Nuestros muertos" on November 9th, at 7:00 PM, at the Campos Eliseos Theatre, in homage to the victims of terrorism and political violence.
The performance is part of the activities organized around the Day of Remembrance, commemorated annually on November 10th in homage and remembrance of all victims of terrorism and political violence in the city.
Admission will be free, with invitations available for download via QR code, limited to a maximum of four seats per person and subject to venue capacity.
The play, produced by the company Micomicón Teatro, is written and directed by Mariano Llorente and features performances by María Álvarez, Carlos Jiménez-Alfaro, Clara Cabrera, and Javi Díaz.
"Nuestros muertos" depicts the encounter between an octogenarian woman and a repentant former ETA prisoner responsible for her son's murder, exploring themes of memory, victims' pain, and the human and social consequences of various forms of violence.
The performance takes place on the eve of Bilbao's Day of Remembrance on November 10th, which will include an institutional act of remembrance and homage to victims of terrorism and political violence at the ATALASE sculptural complex.
The play aims to contribute to this collective exercise of remembrance through the medium of theatre, fostering citizen reflection on the impact of terrorism and political violence on Basque society and personal relationships.
