Osakidetza will begin the second phase of the 2023-2024-2025 Public Employment Offer (OPE) exams this Friday, November 6, to be held in Vitoria-Gasteiz and Barakaldo.

This Friday, November 6, Osakidetza will commence the exams for the second phase of the 2023-2024-2025 Public Employment Offer (OPE). In this stage, 21,408 individuals have registered to compete for positions in 41 professional categories, including medical specialties, nursing, technical roles, as well as management, IT, maintenance, and other support services.
The tests will be conducted over six days throughout November: November 6, 7, 8, 21, and 22 at the EHU's Las Nieves Aulario in Vitoria-Gasteiz, and on November 27 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Barakaldo. The first weekend, from Friday to Sunday, 7,362 people are called for 19 professional categories.
A new exam model is being introduced: a single multiple-choice test combining theoretical and practical parts, using questions from a pre-published bank by Osakidetza. Those who pass the opposition phase will be able to retain their score for future selection processes in the same category.
To organize the exams, Osakidetza will mobilize 381 professionals responsible for logistical, IT, and support tasks, access control, and exam supervision. Furthermore, participation for individuals with special needs is guaranteed with 117 planned adaptations.
This OPE is the largest in Osakidetza's history, offering 5,425 positions across 107 categories, and aligns with the Basque Health Pact's commitment to stabilize staffing and make the public health system an attractive place to work.
