Ordizia's Old Town will be brimming with culture and a festive atmosphere this weekend, April 17th and 18th, with events organized by local restaurateurs.

The festivals of Ordizia's Old Town have gained significant popularity in recent years, organized through the initiative of local restaurateurs and with the support of the Town Council, the merchants' association, and other local dynamic groups. This year, Ordizia is once again preparing for one of the most lively weekends of the year, filling the town center with culture and a festive spirit.
Asier Aseginolaza, one of the organizers, stated that they are working with great enthusiasm, although they also have a point of concern. This year's edition coincides with the Real Sociedad's Copa del Rey final. According to him, this situation could be a «double-edged sword»: many residents will be away, but, at the same time, there will be a festive atmosphere throughout Gipuzkoa surrounding the match.

The organizers are confident that the prepared program will fill the square, and they wanted to thank the local dynamic groups who will be working tirelessly to carry out the activities throughout the day.

They have opted for a popular festival, in which various groups will participate. Emaneurrek will set up a photocall throughout the weekend in Zuhaiztia, Ordiziarrockek will provide music as usual, and the Burrunbazale brass band will liven up the streets of the old town all day long.
Aseginolaza emphasized that there will be activities for all ages and that they are progressing at a good pace. They expect usual participation numbers: many artists in the painting competition, around twenty couples in the potato omelet competition, and about 300 residents at the popular meal. Registrations are still open, and tickets are available at Urdin, Sugar, Kirkil, Haka, Leizea, and Amone bars, for 13 euros.
The program includes the following activities: on Friday, April 17th, at 7:00 PM, there will be KantAzak. On Saturday, April 18th, at 9:00 AM, the II Open-Air Painting Competition will begin in Barrena; at 11:30 AM, the Potato Omelet Championship in Plaza Nagusia; and at 2:30 PM, the popular meal in the outdoor pelota court. In the afternoon, at 5:00 PM, Magician Marsel in Garagartza Plaza; at 6:00 PM, the Burrunbazale brass band starting from Garagartza Plaza; and at 6:00 PM, the painting awards ceremony and exhibition opening in Barrena. To conclude the day, at 9:00 PM, the Real Sociedad final on a big screen in Plaza Nagusia, and after the final, concerts by Skabidean and Zankarron blues.
