The Zumarraga City Council has organized a cineforum for this Thursday at the Zelai Arizti cinema, aiming to foster reflection on loneliness and intergenerational friendship through the screening of the film El inconveniente.

The Zumarraga City Council is introducing two new proposals as part of the 'Shared care: people, families and town' cycle, which began in March. Throughout April, loneliness will be addressed through two initiatives. One of these is a free cineforum on loneliness and intergenerational friendship, scheduled for this Thursday, from 5:30 PM to 7:45 PM, at the Zelai Arizti cinema, featuring the screening of the film El inconveniente.

The film, directed by Bernabé Rico and starring Kiti Mánver and Juana Acosta, is a dramatic comedy that narrates the unexpected friendship between a young woman who buys an apartment on the condition that its owner can continue living there until her death. What begins as a cold waiting agreement turns into a coexistence full of affection and humor, transforming 'El inconveniente' into a vital encounter against loneliness.

The session will be facilitated by Olaia Arana, who will provide a brief introduction before the film. Following the screening, a discussion will be opened to collectively reflect on invisible loneliness and the necessity of transforming care into an act of reciprocal humanity, as well as how intergenerational coexistence, humor, and home are key to building bonds in the face of vulnerability.
The second proposal for April will be the talk 'Loneliness and Shared Life', which will take place on Monday, April 27, at 5:30 PM, at the cultural center. This space aims to delve deeper into the subject in a more direct and participatory manner.
