To encourage citizen participation, the Ordizia City Council has opened the selection process for the Santa Ana festival's txupinazo. Following numerous proposals, four names have emerged as the main contenders for the vote: Urko Ruiz de Apodaka, the group Sugorri, Isidro Benitez, and the workers from the San Jose residence.
One of these four candidates will be chosen to ignite the festivities this year. They will share the spotlight with local entities such as Azari Elkartea, Txindoki Atletismo Taldea, and the Boxing elkartea.
The council has provided several channels for residents to cast their vote. Options include sending an email to the communication address (komunikazioa@ordizia.eus), participating via social media, sending a WhatsApp message to 688 817 583, or depositing the vote in the ballot box located in Barrena.
Each person's vote will be counted once. The final day to submit a vote is July 1st, after which the public's choice for the txupinazo launch will be announced.
