The Town Hall of Urretxu is hosting the Diversity Festival this Saturday in Gernikako Arbola square, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, featuring gastronomy from 15 countries, workshops, and performances.

The festival will include three main sections: gastronomic stalls, workshops, and performances. The food stalls will be located in a tent and will offer the chance to taste dishes from fifteen countries, ranging from Argentina to Venezuela.
Various associations will offer activities such as crafts and games. The Adinkide association will present the 'Creating Relationships' initiative, young people from Alambique Etxea will conduct a 'Your Name in Arabic' workshop, and Aspace will demonstrate basket weaving. Gazte Bideanek will focus on bag design, the Red Cross will organize children's games, and the migrant women's group Sua–Annar will showcase thread crafts. Additionally, women from Equatorial Guinea, Senegal, and Morocco will lead a braiding workshop, and Pakistani and Moroccan women will guide a henna workshop. The Diversity and Coexistence Table will create diversity magnets.
In the performance section, the Emanbira association will present an open percussion session and African dances. There will be Peruvian dance with Alexandra Nishiguchi Vera, and a sound wheel session led by Saioa Puebla from Senbizian. The musical group Los Diversos will also perform. After the Diversity Festival, at 7:00 PM, members of the group Sorotan Bele and the Iparragirre Balerdi music band will give a concert.
The Diversity and Coexistence Table has painted a metal mural where they will affix magnets representing diversity at the end of the festival, forming a treasure chest.
To promote sustainability, reusable plates and cups will be used. Attendees are asked to return them to designated areas after use, and to bring their own containers if they plan to buy food to take home.
